Data Recovery FAT (online glossary)

"FAT" is a file system and is the shortening of File Allocation Table. There are two FAT - versions:
FAT 16 - is used by the operating system "DOS" and all Microsoft Windows versions until Windows 95b.
FAT 32 - is used by the system software Microsoft Windows 95b, Windows 98 and Windows ME.
Converting FAT to NTFS may cause data loss or a hard drive crash - so please be patient.
